Current listening fave

The Bad Plus. Composed of Ethan Iverson on Piano, Reid Anderson on upright bass, and David King on drums - they are fantastic! I'm going to go buy all their CDs soon. On my way home from work, the song "Lost of Love" from the album Suspicious Activity really caught me. It's one of their more mellow tunes, but I was struck by the delicacy of the phrasing and the ease at which the three sync together rhythmically. They are most known for covers of popular rock tunes such as Smells Like Teen Spirit and other 80's / 90's hits, but also write amazing original music. I highly recommend a listen or two.
